Oklahoma Burgers, King West, Toronto
Onion fried burgers and more in the heart of Downtown Toronto on King Street West
Right in the middle of King Street West, where the Entertainment District blurs into the Financial District, you'll find Oklahoma Burgers doing one thing extremely well: halal fried onion burgers, smashed thin and griddled with a pile of sweet onions until the edges go crispy.
This was our first permanent Toronto store, opened in late 2023 after our Mississauga original proved that the GTA was hungry for Depression era Oklahoma cooking. We picked King West on purpose. It's one of the busiest, most demanding stretches of the city, with office towers emptying out at lunch, the theatre crowd hunting for something fast but memorable before a show, and a late night crowd that wants real food, not an afterthought. That's why this location runs late into the night on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays: when the shows and the bars let out, the griddle is still hot.
The menu here is the downtown Toronto lineup: two burgers, done perfectly. The Oklahoma, with 4oz beef patties, American cheese, grilled onions, pickles and burger sauce, and the BM Burger, finished with our bone marrow "BM" sauce. Add fries, dirty fries or onion rings and you're set. Every patty starts as halal brisket ground in house daily, and everything is cooked to order on the flat top, the same way onion burgers have been made since 1920s Oklahoma.
Getting here is easy: 214 King St W sits steps from the St. Andrew subway station and the King streetcar, with paid lots and Green P parking nearby if you're driving in for a show or a game. Grab it to stay, put a pickup order in ahead on Toast so it's ready when you walk in, or order delivery to your office or condo. The links are right below.
Whether it's a quick lunch between meetings, dinner before the curtain goes up, or the last great decision of a long night out. If you're anywhere near the theatres, the towers, or the waterfront, this is your Oklahoma Burgers.
