We Opened at Queen and Spadina

On Tuesday, March 17, 2026, we opened our fourth location at Unit 109, 147 Spadina Ave, just south of Queen. It is our third store in downtown Toronto and the busiest corner we have taken on so far.
The space used to be Ca Phe Rang
We took over the unit that Matty Matheson’s Vietnamese spot Ca Phe Rang had left behind. That is a good address to inherit. It sits in the stretch of Spadina between the Fashion District and Chinatown where the lunch crowd, the studio crowd and the late crowd all overlap, and where the sidewalk traffic barely lets up.

A competitor opened across the street the same week
The part of the story everyone latched onto: a rival smash burger shop opened at the same intersection in the same week. Two burger places, one crossing, opening days apart.
We are not going to pretend that is not interesting. But it does not change anything about what we do. Our menu at Spadina is the same two burger downtown menu we run at King West and Yonge: the Oklahoma and the BM Burger, single or double, plus fries, dirty fries and onion rings. That is the whole board. We are not adding items to win a street fight.
If anything, having two burger shops on one corner is good for the corner. People come down to compare. That is a fine reason to be on Spadina.
What we serve there
The Oklahoma is a four ounce patty pressed into a pile of thinly sliced onions on the griddle so the onions cook into the meat, with American cheese, pickles and burger sauce. The BM Burger swaps the pickles and sauce for our bone marrow sauce.
Both come single or double. The double is the one most people order twice.
