What's Next: More Downtown Toronto Locations
Published
In April 2026, WhatNow Toronto reported that we are planning two to three more locations in downtown Toronto before we turn our attention to the suburbs. That is accurate, and it is worth explaining why.
Why more downtown instead of spreading out
The obvious move for a four year old burger chain with four stores is to fan out across the GTA. Etobicoke, Scarborough, Vaughan, Markham. Plant a flag in each and cover the map.
We are doing the opposite on purpose. The plan is density: cluster stores in the downtown neighbourhoods where people already walk past us, then move outward once that core is solid.
There are three reasons.
Walking distance is the real catchment. Nobody drives across Toronto for a ten dollar burger. They buy one because it is on the way home, or three minutes from the office, or across from where they just got off the streetcar. A store on Spadina does not serve “Toronto”, it serves the fifteen minute walk around Spadina. Covering the city means putting stores inside more of those fifteen minute walks, not scattering them across a map.
One kitchen, one menu, one standard. Our downtown menu is two burgers, three sides and two drinks. That is not a placeholder while we grow. A short menu is how we keep every store cooking the same burger the same way, and the closer the stores are to each other, the easier that is to hold. Distance is where consistency goes to die.
Supply. We grind our beef in house. Tight geography means shorter, more frequent runs and fresher product at every store. Spread out across five suburbs and that gets harder every time you add a pin.
Where we are now
Four locations:
- King West, 214 King St W, our first Toronto store, opened late 2023
- Yonge, 762A Yonge St, at Yonge and Bloor
- Spadina, Unit 109, 147 Spadina Ave, opened March 2026
- Mississauga, 10 Kingsbridge Garden Circle, the original, opened 2022
Four years ago the whole company was a stall inside a food hall going through three pounds of beef a day.
The suburbs are not cancelled
They are sequenced. Once the downtown core is properly covered, the suburbs are next, and Mississauga has always been our proof that the burger travels. Our original store still runs the biggest menu we have.
If you want to be part of it
We do talk to people about partnerships and franchising, and the pace of the next two to three openings is exactly the kind of thing those conversations are about. The partnerships section on our home page is the place to start.
In the meantime, the fastest way to help us open the next one is to eat a burger at one of the four we already have.
